FEATURE FILM SET TO SHOOT IN SAGINAW THIS SPRING

Bierlein Entertainment, LLC is excited to bring a bit of Hollywood to Saginaw, Michigan. With Michigan being the spotlight of the film industry in the tax incentive race, the timing could not be more relevant.

Pre-Production has already begun on the feature film, STREET BOSS that will begin shooting in the Saginaw area in April & May 2008. STREET BOSS is based on the true story of how the FBI brought down one of Detroit's most notorious mobsters. Saginaw resident and Executive Producer, Mark Bierlein based the screenplay on local author and former FBI agent, Phil Kerby's book "With Honor and Purpose."

The project is a shining example of Hollywood meets Michigan, combining talents from Los Angeles and the Detroit area. Hollywood casting director, Pamela Staton will be bringing in actors from recent hit movies and TV shows such as "Blind Justice", "Without a Trace", "ER", "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry", "Sopranos, "The Longest Yard" and more. Additionally, many roles will be cast from the local talent pool.

Director/Producer, Lance Kawas, a Dearborn resident also wrote and directed "Silent Scream" which was shot in Harbor Springs, Michigan and is available from Lions Gate. Line Producer, Marty Shea, is a Metro Detroit native who has worked on over seventy film or TV projects including Billy Crystal's "61*." Production Manager, Claire Connelly, a Midwest production professional just completed working on the "The Dark Knight", the second chapter of Christopher Nolan's Batman series. Top-level film technicians from Detroit, Chicago and Los Angeles round out the crew.

STREET BOSS will be filming in the area for 25 days at over 30 locations. The cast includes over 45 speaking roles and many extras that we hope to cast from the local community. Our goal is to have the movie completed and in the theater by the end of the year.

Working within an independent-sized budget, we will be counting on support from the local community. We are currently scouting locations and are looking for locations ranging from a hospital to an ice cream store, houses, apartments, restaurants, bars and more. As the shoot dates draw near, we will also be looking for interns eager to learn the business and willing to work hard. And we are hoping to cast extras as well as experienced actors from Saginaw and the surrounding areas.

Anyone with location suggestions or who are interested in auditioning or interning should please contact us at: streetboss@bierleinentertainment.com

Any assistance from the community will be welcome.
